Malco is celebrating an outstanding retail professional who works directly with trade pros with our new Counterperson of the Year 2023 contest.
We are very excited to recognize someone who is critical to the success of not only our sales, but also helping trade professionals find the perfect tool for their project.
People who are positioned on the ground in brick-and-mortar retail stores are a crucial link in our ability to make sure our tools find their way into the right hands. Because of them, tools find their home, customers get the support they need and suppliers like us are able to be connected to who motivates us – contractors who love good tools.
What are the qualifications for Malco’s Counterperson of the Year?
To be eligible for being selected as Malco’s Counterperson of the Year for 2023, the nominee must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrates knowledge of Malco tools: we’re looking for retail pros who know Malco tools inside and out. This person understands which job requires which tool, as well as the differences between product options, and can help customers gain a deeper understanding of them, to identify the right tool for the job.
- Consistently recommends the right Malco tools for the job: we’re seeking avid fans of Malco tools, who know when Benders by Malco or our Andy Snips® are the right fit for this job or that one and when asked by customers, make appropriate recommendations and point them to the perfect Malco tool for the application at hand.
- Delivers excellent customer service: last but certainly not least, we want to highlight someone who consistently delivers the highest level of customer service and is dedicated to helping customers find the right tool for them, answers questions they have and work to deliver positive and professional service with each interaction. This is one of Malco’s guiding principles, so we want to recognize those who live that value day in and day out.
Please note that that this contest is only open to nominees in the United States.
What’s the prize?
One winner, nationwide, will receive $500 in cash as a “thank you” for their exceptional customer service, expertise and being a part of “Team Malco.” Not only that, but the distributor/contractor team will get free lunch from Malco! Plus, all qualifying nominees and nominators will get a Malco-branded hat and golf shirt plus a product catalog.
And don’t forget! If the winner is nominated by a contractor, that contractor receives $100 in Malco products of their choosing!
