Q: Can I expand tubing without rotating the tubing when using a MalcoEdge Tube Expander? A: No, the tubing or the tool must be rotated to retain a round shape during forming. Otherwise the tubing will be hexagonal as the tubing will follow the shape of the forming head in the expanded position. Q: Can I expand my tubing in one motion? A: No, we recommend you partially expand the tubing then release, rotate, and re-apply pressure multiple times. Applying full expansion in one motion will result in hexagonal tubing and/or cracking. Q: Is tubing measured on the outside or inside diameter of the product? A: Tubing is measured on the outer diameter of the tube.
