  • FAQs

    Q1
Can I expand tubing without rotating it when using a MalcoEdge Tube Expander?
No. The tubing or the tool must be rotated during forming to maintain a round shape. Without rotation, the tubing will follow the shape of the forming head and result in a hexagonal shape.

    Q2
Are replacement forming heads available for the MalcoEdge Tube Expander Kit?
Yes. See your local Malco distributor for assistance with replacement parts.

    Q3
Can I expand my tubing in one motion?
No. We recommend partially expanding the tubing, then releasing, rotating, and re-applying pressure multiple times. Applying full expansion in one motion will result in hexagonal tubing and/or cracking.

    Q4
Is tubing measured on the outside or inside diameter?
Tubing is measured on the outer diameter of the tube.
