  • FAQs

    Q1
What do I do if my MalcoEdge Turboflow seals leak?
Malco sells replacement seals so you can replace them in the field and extend the life of your hoses.

    Q2
Does hose length matter when pulling a vacuum?
Yes. The shorter the hose and the larger the diameter, the more efficiently the vacuum will be pulled.

    Q3
Can I use the same hoses with a variety of refrigerants?
MalcoEdge hoses are compatible with popular refrigerants. However, we do not recommend using multiple refrigerants in the same hoses unless you flush them first using a product like ACE Powerflush. To prevent cross-contamination from oils left in the hoses, we recommend dedicating separate hoses to specific refrigerants.

    Q4
Do I need to flush and clean my equipment when switching between refrigerants?
Yes. Some refrigerants use different lubricants and cannot be mixed. As a best practice, flush pumps, hoses, manifolds, and other components between services to prevent cross-contamination. We recommend using ACE Powerflush when switching refrigerants.
