Malco Tools, Inc. one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of high-quality, American-made tools for the HVAC trade (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), was recently awarded a 2022 Manufacturing Excellence Award for New Approaches from Twin Cities Business magazine.

Malco is one of eight Minnesota manufacturers to receive the award, which spotlights superior work from companies of all sizes related to product design and engineering, manufacturing processes, business operations, human capital, supply-chain management, and product or niche uniqueness. Malco was evaluated not only for its financial success but its growth, innovation and local impact on Minnesota.

“We are so proud to be recognized by Twin Cities Business for Malco’s innovation and impact on the local manufacturing community,” said Rich Benninghoff, Malco president and CEO. “Malco continues to build on a long legacy of innovation, which is only possible thanks to our employee-owners who are always committed to excellence and producing the highest-quality tools available on the market.”

As a legacy company that has been in business for 72 years, Malco has built a reputation amongst end-users as one of the best performing brands on the market by focusing on new product development, responding to emerging market needs for specialized products, and continually relying on feedback from trade pros who use the tools day in and day out. The company’s cultural values and employee ownership model have made Malco a very attractive place to work and a staple in the local communities around its plants in Annandale, Minnesota, and DeWitt, Nebraska.

Malco is featured in the 2022 February/March issue of Twin Cities Business and was honored at the Manufacturing Excellence Awards event on Feb. 16 in Minneapolis. For more information about the awards, visit https://tcbmag.com/events/mea22/.
