J-Channel Cutters
Use Malco’s versatile J-Channel Cutters to make drain tabs, downstream notch cutouts, and miter trim cuts in vinyl channel. Available in three sizes for 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) channel using model JCC50R, 5/8 inch (15.9 mm) channel using model JCCR, and 3/4 inch (19.1 mm) channel using model JCC75R. Tool operation is fast and easy! Light hand pressure produces a single handle click signal to ensure perfect drain tabs every time. Graduations on the upper jaw easily gauge tab or notch depths from 3/8 to 1-1/4 in. (9.5 – 31.2 mm). Use either side of the jaws to cut a 45-degree miter for a professional finished look. Hardened all-steel construction with rust resistant nickel chrome and black oxide finishes ensures long service life.
Malco’s J-Channel Cutters also feature ergonomic RedLine Handle technology. An Engineered handle opening compliments the natural power stroke of any user’s hand and maximizes the powerful 7:1 mechanical advantage of compound-leverage head to handle linkage. Comfortable handle grip contours, a non-slip grip insert, spring handle actuation, and a thumb-operated handle latch ensure a natural fit and feel for comfortable one hand operation anywhere on the job.
NOTE: The JCC75R knockout is sized for industry standard ¾ in. J-Channel, which typically runs 1 in. To prevent water damage from freezing, this tools knockout is 1 in., and not ¾ in.

Revised review
Originally bought the JCC75R but it didn't work in my J-Channel. Spoke with customer support and he was very helpful. He gave detailed explanation of how the sizing works with these cutters and various J-Channels. He shipped out the 5/8" JCCR cutters same day and I received them three days later. They are working perfectly on my J-Channel and I'm back in business. Great customer support!Response for Wallace
Response for Wallace
The manufacturers of J-Channel have never adopted a uniform measurement system therefore it is possible that the brand you are using is narrower than this tool was designed for, Malco offers a JCCR that might fit your brand of J-Channel better.WALLACE

Great tool
This tool is pretty good.If you purchase this, the following instructions are mandatory to make this tool profitable:After attaching the J to the wall and going to the next corner use a small scrap (4-6",easy to put in pouch) of the J you are using. Punch out both sides. Now just slip that over the loose end of the J & make your cut mark.M. Hitchcock
Awesome Tool!
This tool saved us a lot of time and frustration when crimping the J-channel to put around our windows. We put vinyl siding on our own house and this tool was a great help and definitely worth the money.P. Tjarks
